How to lodge
- Open the objections portal and select Nillumbik Shire Council.
- Fill the portal fields using the objection details below — they line up with what it asks for.
- Upload your saved PDF (cover letter + comparable sales) as your supporting evidence.
- Submit before the deadline and keep the confirmation reference.
Keep paying your rates as normal while your objection is considered — the law (s.29) requires it, even if your objection later succeeds and you are refunded the difference.
Once lodged, the valuer has up to 4 months to disallow the objection or recommend an adjustment, and must give you a reasonable opportunity to discuss it.
